The NSE Nifty50 index ended 80.6 points up at 17736.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 212.88 points at 59756.84.

JSW Steel(up 5.47%), Hindalco Industries(up 3.51%), Tata Steel(up 2.96%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.61%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.47%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.03%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.84%), UPL Ltd(up 1.73%), Axis Bank(up 1.36%) and Titan Company Ltd(up 1.25%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance(down 1.86%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.66%), Asian Paints(down 1.34%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.87%), Nestle India(down 0.74%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.61%), Wipro(down 0.52%), SBI Life(down 0.16%), Infosys(down 0.15%) and Tata Consultancy(down 0.15%) closed in the red.
