Shaktimaan actor Mukesh Khanna has sparked outrage on social media. The veteran actor made a controversial remark by stating women who desire sex are sex workers. In a video, which has gone viral on social media, Mukesh Khanna can be heard making a sexist remark. “If any girl tells a boy that she wants to have sex with him, she is not a girl, she is a sex worker,” he said. Now, Bidaai actress Sara Khan has reacted to this entire controversy.
“HE SHOULD NOT DISRESPECT WOMEN”
Speaking to IndiaToday.in, Sara Khan revealed that she has worked with him and respects the senior actor. Calling him a great actor, Khan added that he’s known as Shaktimaan – the superhero of India. However, she does condemn his comments on women.
“I would like to say that first, he should not disrespect women like this. Secondly, since I have worked with him, I know he is a baal-brahmachari. For him, sex as a topic is a taboo. If he has said this, I would like to say vo dhandha kiske saath kar rahi hai? Aadmiyo ke saath hi na. It is just not them alone. Dono ke taraf se equal hi hain – from a man and a woman. If a woman is doing business for sex, then aadmi dhande ke liye unke saath sex kar raha hain. It is the same thing. Dono hi equally iss cheez ke liye doshi maane jaane chahiye [Both should be equally called culprits for this thing],” she said.
