Aamir Khan’s recent release ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ failed to impress the audience. It received mixed reviews from critics and was reportedly a disaster at the box office.

On the other hand, the film also faced backlash online with calls to boycott ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. However, filmmaker Prakash Jha has a different opinion on the same.

In an interview with a news portal, Prakash Jha shared that it’s a wake-up call for the industry. He went on to say that they should understand that they are making bakwaas.

According to him, films can’t be made only through money, corporates, and paying a high fee to the actors. He added that one needs to write a good story that makes one understand and entertains.

Elaborating further, Jha added that they should make stories that are rooted. He questioned, people from the Hindi industry are speaking in Hindi but what are they making? They are just churning out remakes.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood classic, ‘Forrest Gump’ which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role. The Hindi remake also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in key roles.
