Earlier, in the marks cut-off system, the university used to release close to eight lists.
DU registrar, Vikas Gupta, in a notification said, “Candidates who fail to submit the admission fees by 2pm on Tuesday will not be able to participate in any subsequent CSAS rounds. Only the candidates who will pay the admission fees in the first round will get the upgrade option.”
With this change, the details of vacant seats will now be released by 10am on October 26. The following schedule remains unchanged. After the declaration of vacant seats, students can re-order their preferences till 5pm on October 27.
The second round of CSAS allocation will be announced on October 30. The process is scheduled to be completed by November 3.
In several colleges, popular courses have already been filled. At Aryabhatta College, out of 956 applications, 857 were processed. Of these, nine were rejected. Economics (H), psychology (H) and history (H) had the highest acceptance rate. Out of 68 applications in economics (H), only four were not accepted. In history (H), there were 73 applications and just two of them were rejected.
Ramanujan College has already processed 1,115 applications. The highest admissions were for BCom (H).
The university said candidates belonging to the reserved categories, whose applications were rejected for not holding the certificates in the prescribed format, would be considered for admission in the second round under the unreserved category. However, it would depend on the availability of seats in the reserved category.
