A foetus and a dead infant were found dumped in the Katara Hills locality and in a drain in Bhopal. The police are currently looking into the matter and trying to find the parents.
The police are also trying to identify how the foetus was surgically removed. One of the residents living in the locality said that he saw what he thought was a dead animal in a puddle in an agricultural field behind Goya Colony in Katara Hills locality.
The foetus and the body of the infant have been sent for autopsy by Katara Hills police. Police suspect that the foetus must have been removed at home with help from a doctor.
Meanwhile, the baby was found with a hospital tag and police are trying to track down the parents. The infant was premature and it was disposed of in the water.
