DC Comics and Warner Bros.Ṃontreal have dropped the final Bat Family character trailer for their upcoming game Gotham Knights. This one is centered on Red Hood or Jason Todd, one of the former Robins of Batman. Without going into a major character spoiler which we hope many of the comic book and DC fans already know, let’s just say Todd had a falling out with Batman after a quite tragic incident in which he got killed but was resurrected. The resurrection gave Todd some mystical powers which he will be able to use against the Court of Owls and other adversaries in the game. And from what’s been shown in the trailer, he might be the most effective against the Talons, who have superhuman abilities too.
Fans expect the Red Hood to do a lot of gun-kata and he will be doing that in Gotham Knights. Plus, he’s got some creative surprises with the dual pistols that would allow him to deal damage to multiple opponents. One of his major powers shown in the trailer is his ricochet attack (that’s a term we coined) which hits multiple targets one after the other, quite like a Deadshot bullet (only that Floyd Lawton’s shots bounce off against walls and other objects to take down a single target). Another major ability of Todd is him using discs made of mystical energy for jumping and thus using the sky as a veritable springboard. Nightwing and Batgirl have got their gliders and Bat-cycle, while Red Hood is going to use the mystical gifts of resurrection to jump around Gotham.
He is also going to use electrical shocks. All this, in addition to him being an expert shot and a skilled hand-to-hand combatant. That makes him one of the most formidable combatants in the Bat Family of Gotham Knights. Here is the Red Hood trailer.
