THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Gold smuggling accused Swapna Suresh on Monday dared former Kerala assembly speaker P Sreeramakrishnan to file a defamation case against her after releasing on social media some private photos of the latter as alleged proof of her close association with him. She threatened to produce more evidence in court against him if he filed a defamation case.
“This is just a simple and humble reply, and a reminder to P Sreeramakrishnan for his Facebook post and related arguments. In case this doesn’t remind him of the rest, then I request this gentleman to please file a defamation suit against me so that I may be able to produce the rest of the evidence before court,” she wrote.
Swapna had previously claimed she was invited by Sreeramakrishnan to his residence alone, asked to join him for a drink and subjected to sexual advances. The ex-speaker said Swapna visited his official residence for “official matters”, accompanied by her family. He said he wasn’t foolish to ask her to come alone to a house where he was residing with family.
Swapna had levelled similar allegations against former tourism minister Kadakampally Surendran and former finance minister T M Thomas Isaac. Both contested the accusations.
